The Chorus is made up of 3 teams
Team GOLD
(Fun) This team is here for the fun. They just want to show up for rehearsals to sing whatever the chorus is singing, taking part in videograms, jingles, sing outs...or not. Members of this team show up to rehearsals when they can, and there is no pressure or obligation to show up for sing outs (paid or otherwise). Members of this group may at times just sit in the audience to support the other singers if they do not fancy a particular song.
Team GREY
(Grow) This team wants to grow as singers and performers. They want to better themselves and are willing to put in the time both at home and during rehearsals. They voluntarily show up to at least 50% of all rehearsals and participate in all videograms, jingles and 50%+ to sing outs. Some members of this group may be called upon to fill in spots for Team Green as back up singers when a Team Green member is unable to make it for a sing out. They do not have the same pressure and responsibilities as Team Green, unless they want to eventually be on Team Green.
Team GREEN
(Pro) This team is the core of the group who want to get paid at paid sing outs. This team shows up to 75%+ rehearsals, and meets at least 2x week and aims to sing at all videograms, jingles and even the unpaid sing outs. They invest the time necessary to learn the songs at home. At sing outs that limit the number of singers allowed to participate, it is Team Green that fills the spots first and gets the offer first. The expectations are higher for team green. For example, if we get a paid gig to sing at a convention with special guest speakers, we may only get 5 weeks to learn the theme songs of the TV show that are relative to the guest speakers. A team green member has to be willing and able to pull that off. The ability to learn songs quickly is necessary for this team. Other expectations include being on time for rehearsals, printing up your own music sheets and bringing them to rehearsals, getting off the music sheets as quickly as possible, and conducting themselves in a professional manner when representing the chorus. Team Green is a tier system of 4 member quartets. 4 first tier, 4 second tier and so on. As the chorus grows, Team Green may be subject to auditions esp if high paying gigs become a regular reality. There is no Team Green until we actually face the situation of a paid gig. We currently have 3 people for a our first team green quartet, and are looking for a fourth.
Team CLUSTERS
(Clusters) These teams are venue specific. These teams learn a subset of songs from the repertoire to be able to sing at specific events. At times, they will be expected to learn songs the rest of the chorus might not have to learn yet. For example, if we have a quartet of members that only want to focus on singing at weddings, they would focus on learning songs from our repertoire for weddings so they can represent the chorus and go to wedding gigs. This is a great option for people that may have a very specific focused interest of a cluster of songs of a particular theme or venue. They can be made up of members of Team Grey or Team Green as needed. The expectations of Cluster teams are just as high as those of team Green.
